Parish Update! One Down, One Up...

Just a couple of updates on what is going on here in Portland at the Holy Nativity of the Theotokos.
This last big wind storm we had last week brought down our parish sign. So if you've been looking for us this week, I hope whatever app or device you are using can be trusted to find a proper location.
It's really too bad the sign went down, but we will rebuild! We are in the process of getting a new one as we speak!
In better news, just today we installed the final icons for the shrine in the southeast corner of the property. We are grateful to those who donated their time and effort to building and installing this little treasure! Glory to God in His Saints!

It was a dream of mine to see a shrine to the Mother of God near her odds defying rose bush growing off the old demised tree near the gate. It is nice to see such a beautiful shrine to Our Lady. Hopefully the rose bush survived.
