"I Can't See!"

"Father, my son says he doesn't see God in the world, or miracles, and that he's starting to believe that God doesn't actually care about us." Brothers and Sisters, here we are:

So many people have been numbed by the World and struggle to see God -and thus struggle to keep a spiritual life drawn to Him- because we are distracted and stuck on the little box in our hands. If you can't see God, it's because you're not looking. He's everywhere, and He's trying to get your attention.

The scene is the same wherever one goes: People on their phones. What is ostensibly a communication device is a chain latching us to lukewarmness at best.

If we lack any desire to do anything spiritual, if we find that our spiritual life is cold and that we are doubting God more and more, the solution is now simple and universal: put the phone down.

A widely shared meme that fits a lot of people's situations right now.

Please, my beloved friends, talk to God. Lent is nearly upon us. Step away from distraction. Imagine if we were spit out of the mouth of God (Rev. 3:16) for being lukewarm, simply because we could not get off of our phones and be Christians. God forbid!
