Many of us tend to have a horde of Orthodox prayer books in our prayer corners. Son of these books we bring with us through daily life and others just collect dust in our prayer corners until we decide to change things up a bit by using a different translation of that which we were already reading.
Among those various prayer books which we have, are some which have a special place in our hearts or which make us feel safe, for any number of reasons. When “Our Synod” or a close monastery/convent whom we love dearly produces a new book, we run to purchase it, not only to give patronage to our friends but also to enrich our spiritual life.
Our monastery in Etna has for decades printed many valuable books under the name of “Center for Traditionalist Orthodox Studies.” Just as our St. John’s monastery in Cobleskill, NY has become a beacon of true Orthodox spiritual life on the East Coast, our communities in Etna -St. Gregory’s monastery, St. Elizabeth’s convent, The St. Photios Seminary and the parish of Ss. Cyprian and Justina- have become our pillar of Orthodox life on the West Coast where we are so relatively isolated.
It brings me great joy to announce another offering by the Etna community towards the enrichment of Orthodox spiritual life, and thus the promotion of drawing souls closer to Christ our God. They have just recently been given the blessing to produce a prayer books which for Orthodox Christians in English and Greek, which is now for sale.
If you would like to purchase this prayer book, please do so, giving glory to God and offering up prayers for the Etna communities, that God grant them increase.
May God bless you and grant you peace.
